This
new shop, Metamorphosis, is located in one of the coolest part of
Athens. It's adjacent to Monastiraki just across popular Ermou St.
Stephanie and her sister make everything sold in the shop by hand.
You'll see an attractive display of bright colors and funky designs
in the form of furniture, painted glass objects (candle holders,
bottles, plates, etc.), beaded jewelry, gorgeous macramé,
painted canvas floor coverings, and my favorite thing of all in
the shop, the, popping with personality, papier maché (cow)
piggy banks! These are a must see and have! Metamorphosis is a fun
place to shop for kids and adults. Stephanie is bright, friendly
and speaks perfect English. The prices are extremely reasonable
ranging from 5 Euros (for cleverly painted rocks) up to 500 Euros
(for a painted table and chair set). Go see her things! You will
probably catch her sitting inside the narrow shop painting away
on a new item and you'll get to learn about everything for yourself!
