Manolis and Marina Patramanis |
|
Manolis Patramanis was born in Heraklion, Crete. He studied pottery at the School of Free Studies
in Chania, Crete. He has been in many commercial exhibitions, including the International Fair of Frankfurt. He
has also worked as an instructor for pottery seminars organized by the Center for Professional Training. In 1988
he set up his own workshop in Heraklion, Crete where he lives and work today.

Cretan clays, other high temperature clays (porcelain and stoneware), clay slips colored with metal oxides and
stains, are the basic materials used to give shape to his great ideas.
The ceramics are fired in electric kilns from 12 to 24 hours at temperatures of 1065 degrees Celsius to 1280 degrees
Celsius.
Ceramics from his workshop are sold throughout Greece and were selected for the Hellenic Handcrafted Creations
Collection.
