Yiota Georgiou and her daughter, Ioanna, have been designing and making glassware since 1990. Their company, Yiali, creates stunning crystal glass tabletops, lamps, and dishes. They also design a varitey of other lampshades and stands out of wood, leather, and crocheted copperwire. Yiota and Ioanna, who are very well known in their trade, often invite other popular Greek artists to come in and create the painted images on thier glass tableware. So, not only do you get a piece of glass with extraordinary craftsmanship and quality, but you may also have the work of another great Greek artists locked inside the glass. Each piece is made by using two separate pieces of lead free crystal glass (ecological crystal). The color and design are sandwhiched and sealed in between. This protects the artwork from any damage and allows them to be used for serving food and even washed in the dishwasher. Yiali's, always original pieces, are each signed for authenticity. Yiali is set back off of the main road. You must go down a hallway and you'll find them at the end. Immediately you will covet everything inside!
