After living in Greece for a year and discovering the wealth of talented local Greek artists
who were well known in Greece, but largely unknown internationally, I realized there was a vast amount of undiscovered
contemporary artwork that I wanted to share with
the rest of the world.
As a vehicle to share these artists with the U.S., I opened my own shop, Aegean Affair, in San Diego, California,
which features some of these artists. I have since become more aware of the limitations of a retail shop in San
Diego and recognized I could present more artists to more people through this internet guide. This guide will allow
you to also locate and purchase a wide range of art and designs from some of the most talented artists in Greece.
Many of these artists have agreed to allow those who mention this site direct access to their studio, a viewing
of the production, a non-retail purchasing environment, and a special discount on your purchase of their works.
I hope you use this guide to plan your itinerary and take you through a Greece you would not ordinarily see. |

How to Use This Guide
The guide is broken into two main categories, Designs
for the Home and Designs
for the Body. Here you will find only work by contemporary artists
and designers in Greece today. All categories and subcategories are further broken down into regions of Greece.
If you are planning a trip somewhere in particular, you can use the guide to contact or locate artists in your
destination area(s). You may also print out the 10% off coupons, which have a reminder photo of the shop or artist's
work, their address, and telephone number. These coupons are not available anywhere else. They are only offered
to customers of GSG.
If you planning a general trip through Greece, you may want to contact Fantasy Travel through this site (Planning your

tourist destinations not listed on this web site. No matter where you are in Greece, you will be surrounded by
history and breathtaking views. So, why not enrich your adventure and skip some of the tourist malls. Visiting
artists and studios listed on this site will take you to parts of Athens and Greece that most tourists would never
see. Just the view from the taxi, bus or metro, let alone a walk through the local neighborhood will be a unique
experience, not enjoyed by many.
